EfE themes: Environmental policy reform in EECCA countries

The EAP Task Force's work area "Environmental Policy Reform in EECCA Countries" contributes to implementing the Environmental Strategy of EECCA countries, which was adopted at the 2003 Kiev Environment for Europe Ministerial Conference.

Current work is outlined in the EAP Task Force's consolidated Programme of Work and Budget for 2008.

The implementation of the work program is supported by an expert network, the Regulatory Environmental Programme Implementation Network (REPIN). This network  provides for a mechanism for sharing information, disseminating good practices and agreeing on policy recommendations. The REPIN is a Member of the International Network for Environmental Compliance and Enforcement (INECE) and cooperates with other relevant international programmes, such as the EU's Enforcement Network (Impel), the Environmental Compliance and Enforcement Network for Accession (ECENA) and the UNECE work on Environmental Performance Reviews and Environmental Monitoring.
